New economic data last week showed the resilient U.S. consumer may finally be beginning to crack.

“It’s our Super Bowl,” said Tapestry finance chief Scott Roe , referring to the holiday season.
This means the owner of Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman is looking to attract shoppers, but Roe, who also serves as the company’s chief operating officer, said the company plans to be disciplined with any promotions.
